People like you are the very reason I'll never set foot in another church! I'd rather burn in Hell than have someone I care about feel unwelcome in a house of worship because of their lifestyle. I just wonder how many of you I'll see when I get there....

If after 15 years of a member not being able to attend the only thing you have to say to her is "we don't accept you here" that is not showing her love. Being a Christian is loving people even through their "sin" and the last time I checked loving another human is not a sin. And further more, she is legally married and the least you could do on that pathetic excuse of a letter is spell her name correctly... with her legal last name. Also if you are going to point out her "sin" and tell her why you do not accept her any longer, you need to send the same letter to every member of your congregation with details on why you don't accept them because of their sin... THIS INCLUDES ALL YOUR LEADERSHIP, PASTORS, CLERGY, DEACONS ETC. You should be ashamed of yourselves, ALL OF YOU!

I am proud of the Bostic Baptist Church for addressing the growing problem in our churches today. It is time that we stand for what is not only morally right but what The Word Of GOD says takes courage and feet planted on a firm foundation. To stand firm at a time when everything is accepted as right in everyone's eyes is a breath of fresh air in a polluted world. I am encouraged that the Church stated their position and did not condemn but offered to meet with them and discuss the stand that they took. The letter was private and between the Church and the other party, but the Church did not make it public knowledge the other party wanted to gain support from the world instead of taking the Church up on having a meeting. GOD BLESS OUT BREATHERNS IN CHRIST WE ARE PRAYING FOR GOD TO GIVE YOU STRENGTH .

If you want to be not judged like the Bible teaches, please find a more accepting church and one that will love no matter what! Clearly they accept the divorced within the church community, but cannot accept and love a member for her preference. One day, all the church members, pastor and deacons, will have to face the all mighty Lord and answer to why they were so judgemental and hateful!

Thank you for taking seriously the Biblical command to maintain purity within the church. We are all sinners. We all fail, and none of us is any better than anyone else, but we do have a Guidebook to go by, and a person who is engaging in unrepentant wickedness is a danger to the rest of the church. "A little leaven leavens the whole lump." It is just a principle. It is Biblical, and it really doesn't matter whether the World understands it or not.
